(NDBI): Designing Programs for Generalization
Children learn best when they are active participants in developmentally appropriate learning experiences that are based in their preferred interests. Communication, social skills, and adaptive functioning skills taught in natural contexts and environments allow for richer learning opportunities and increased generalization of learned behaviors.
Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions are designed to be delivered in naturalistic and interactive social environments. These interventions are derived from the principles of behavioral psychology and developmental science.
During this workshop, Dr. Sheila Hartley will guide participants through actively engaging in using Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Interventions to target socially appropriate and functional implementation of skills for clients.
